First off, we want to take the time to thank everyone who came out to our shows last weekend at both Pitt Street Brewing Co. and our SOLD OUT album pre-sale event at Magnolia Roots Music Lounge. A big thanks to Mike Allen at the Wake Forest Listening Room, Howard and Christine Sadel From Sugar Magnolia Cafe, and to Drew Hyatt of Homesick Roots Photography for the great shots of the evening! It was truly a great weekend with two packed out shows! Without your support we wouldn’t be anywhere near where we are today, so thank you so much for coming to out to our shows and making it all worth it!

The whole process of recording and mixing this album has been very time consuming and mentally straining, so to be able to share our hard work with you is something we are very much looking forward to. For now, we’re going to take a few much needed days off to relax and gear up for the weekend!

Tommy Freeman of Lake Chamberlain getting ready for the second set at Magnolia Roots Music Lounge

We’d also like to extend our thanks to our good friends Jack Snyder, Matt Austin(Lake Chamberlain, The Antique Hearts), and Tommy Freeman(Lake Chamberlain). These three guys are about as good of friends you could ask for and we want to express our gratitude to all of them for playing a killer second set with us at the Pre-sale show. We also would like to extend a very special thank you to Jack and the rest of the Snyder family for their continual hospitality, friendship, and support. This album would not be what it is without them, and we wouldn’t be able to travel nearly as much as we do without their hospitality. Jack is a fantastic graphic designer and artist, and he has done all of the work for our album artwork and designs for the Release Party.

We’ve got our friends from  Tumbleweed and Folkstone String Band starting off the night, so it’s gonna be a good one!

Tumbleweed is a folk rock band from Wilmington, NC fronted by three songwriters (Jordan Sutherland, Amanda King and McKay Glasgow), multi-instrumentalists with a knack for musical composition and vocal harmony. The band recently acquired the multi-talented Ross Page (percussion), Peter Boscaljon (bass) and Sam Bowman (electric guitar/piano). After over a year working in the studio to develop their sound, Tumbleweed put out their first album, ‘Little Yellow House’, in August of 2018. The 11-track release explores relationships, loss and self discovery through the eyes of each songwriter. Tumbleweed was formed in March 2016 and has been featured in Wilmington’s Bourgie Nights Concert Series, Carolina Pine Music Festival and the Brooklyn Arts Center Singer-Songwriter Showcases.

Folkstone String Band:

Located in Wilmington, North Carolina, Folkstone Stringband highlights traditional music which has been played for centuries and was made popular during the early to middle 20th century as recording was made more prolific. Pulling from styles made popular by such musicians as Bill Monroe, Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs, Jimmy Martin, Charlie Poole, Don Reno and Red Smiley, and more, Folkstone Stringband continues to push the envelope to keep the tradition alive and thriving in the 21st century.

Other Shows this Week:

Along with our Album Pre-sale event, we will be hitting the road Friday, January 11th to play at Pitt Street Brewing Company  in Greenville, NC as the next step on our “Great January NC Brewery Tour”. Hey everybody, just wanted to give you all an update on what’s going on in our world!

We are a little over 50% backed on our Kickstarter campaign to get us out to Telluride, Colorado!  If you or anyone you know that enjoys our music would like to donate to it would be greatly appreciated.  There is a reward package for just about any amount possible; posters, stickers, documentary, EP, private parties, etc.  We only have 5 days left to get to 5,000$ so if you like what you hear, and find it in your heart to help out, we would be eternally grateful.  Donations can be made here.

We have some exciting shows coming up this weekend: Friday at Fishy Fish Cafe in Southport, NC from 6:30-10:30 PM.  Then on Saturday we have a massive show that we have been looking forward to:

Edward Teach Brewery Presents: Lawn Chair Bluegrass Blow Out at the Brooklyn Arts Center in Wilmington, NC.  This is the only show of the year where you can bring your own lawn chair inside the BAC!  The lineup consists of Into The Fog, Massive Grass, End of the Line, and Chris Frisina.  Tickets are available here!

Also, we haven’t officially announced yet but we will be having another HUGE day on June 9 at Burnt Mill Creek with a BUNCH of local bands.  This will be our last show in Wilmington before we take off to Telluride.  Be on the lookout in the next couple of days for more details; you will not want to miss it!

As always thank you all for your continued support, we couldn’t do any of it without you!  Have a wonderful day!

Post number 1.  In the past few weeks we’ve been grinding out ideas how this is all going to happen.  We went from a two piece to a four piece band in a matter of weeks.  It’s exciting.  A lot of ideas hitting the table, and shows are compiling.  The most exciting news of all is something thatz we will be announcing in encore’s December 29th edition.  Our big show that we’re revving up to is Burnt Mill Creek on New Years Eve!
